The Package Design Matters Conference team is hard at work preparing for the 2016 event. We received great feedback about the 2015 event that has inspired different activities and unique adds to the agenda.
We’ve also attracted the attention of other design industry organizations. the Design Business Association (DBA) and PAC, Packaging Consortium, are teaming up with PDMC to host an awards gala as part of the conference that will recognize award winners from all three of the organizations’ awards programs: PD’s Brand Leaders and Rising Stars, DBA’s Design Effectiveness Awards and PAC’s Global Leadership Awards.
Julie Anixter, co-founder and Executive Editor of Innovation Excellence and AIGA’s incoming Executive Director, will be hosting a pre-conference workshop. “Marketing Your Products in the Age of Digital Maturity” will dive into the connection between packaging and the virtual consumer dialogue. Successful campaigns like “Share a Coke” have created a lot of buzz around this topic, and we’re excited to host a forum where you can generate ideas that could immediately impact your marketing plans.
